description

At Schwab, we are invested in diversity & inclusion. We believe diversity and inclusion are tied to our success and purpose of serving every client with passion and integrity.

Schwab was founded on the belief that the investment industry needed to be more inclusive – that more people from Main Street should be able to enjoy the same benefits as those on Wall Street. That spirit of inclusiveness has been a guiding principle ever since, and we are dedicated to building and maintaining a culture that values and reflects the strengths of every employee. We know that through diversity, we gain a wider range of perspectives and experiences, which supports our Through Clients’ Eyes business strategy.

military culture

Knowledge articles are available for our employees – from basics of understanding different branches of the military and military rank, to value-adds of addressing and interacting with military / former military personnel, who are our employees and clients.

Training videos are in final development, to be launched soon.

In addition, our Military Veterans Network ERG chapters are well-immersed in communities – especially during Memorial Day and the month of November / Veteran’s Day. We also recognize May 8 (Military Spouses Appreciation Day), paying tribute to the men and women who support those who are active in the United States Armed Forces. ERG initiatives include bringing military personnel onsite, acknowledging lost soldiers, and celebrating military culture and service.

military spouse recruitment and hiring

In 2017, Schwab was inducted into the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), a program of the Department of Defense that recruits, hires, promotes, and retains military spouses in portable careers. MSEP connects military spouses with partner employers worldwide, and gives Schwab priority access to a unique and talented group of professionals who are skilled, diverse, and motivated with a strong work ethic.
