All recruiters receive annual training on military culture, rank structure, veteran
career motivators, interviewing leading practices, military skills translation and candidate sourcing strategies. All recruiters and talent professionals have also been encouraged to obtain an SHRM Foundation Veterans at Work Certificate (10 hours of course work); more than 50 employees have obtained the certification and more are in the process of completing the certification. Hiring managers and senior leaders across the US receive regular briefings on the “value of hiring military members and veterans” and are informed of our progress in the area of military/veteran and military spouse advocacy.

military spouse recruitment and hiring

We have held LinkedIn live town halls and calls to let everyone in the military spouse demographic know about our projects and our willingness to hire them. We have teamed with several organizations to post our jobs and accept candidate referrals for our open roles. Through our referral program, EY US employees who are military spouses have referred their friends to these open roles, many of whom have been hired via these referrals. Additionally, we were selected to join the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) this year and are taking active steps to complete the program requirements.
