Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) is a global IT consulting and business services corporation that delivers staff augmentation, total workforce management programs, outsourced solutions and direct hire recruiting with industry expertise in financial services, energy and exploration, utilities, healthcare and insurance, and retail distribution. Founded in Detroit, MI 30 years ago, S3 has reported consistent growth and profit every year since 1990, and carries zero debt. With locations throughout the U.S., Europe and the Americas, S3 consultants are placed in 49 states and in 16 countries around the globe.
Throughout the year, we provide our employees an on-going info stream about military culture and structure, highlighting the experiences of their colleagues and their military service. This stream is comprised of communications from our CEO (the spouse of a military veteran), our Chief of Staff (a retired Air Force officer), & our Corporate Communications team. The messaging also highlights the history of branches of the armed forces (e.g., in connection with the service anniversaries) & a significant portion of our annual company meeting is dedicated to the recognition of our military veteran employees. Too, we use our participation in charities such as "Wreathes Across America" to help educate our workforce on the sacrifices of all military veterans. In short, we bring to our employees the message that S3 military veterans came together from vastly different backgrounds to respond to the needs of our country. They looked beyond those differences to focus on a common goal: to keep our nation free…to get that job done. Today, S3 military veterans support vital functions not only within our company, but equally important, they play a key role in supporting the success of our valued Customers.

Our military and veteran spouse recruiting efforts mirror our recruitment of military veterans. At S3, we know that military veterans and their spouses are among the best and brightest thinkers…they adapt easily, build solid relationships, and have strong ethics…above all, they are loyal. It is in this spirit that S3 pledges to continue hiring veterans and their spouses to play key roles within the S3 corporation and with its customers. We are also proud of our membership in the Department of Defense Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) since our induction by Second Lady (Dr) Jill Biden in 2014. Today, 5% of our total workforce, some 200 individuals, are military spouses or spouses of military veterans!

We offer tuition assistance or other financial support toward the preparation, attainment, and/or maintaining of an academic or professional certificate, degree, or another civilian credentialThe S3 Education Reimbursement Program provides eligible employees (including military veterans) with the encouragement and opportunity to obtain, maintain, or improve their professional capabilities through participation in courses of study at accredited colleges and universities, and at accredited organizations specializing in job and career related training. Generally, individual courses or courses that are part of a degree, licensing, or certification program must be related to the employee's current job duties or a foreseeable-future position in the organization in order to be eligible for reimbursement. Courses taken at accredited organizations specializing in job or career related training are reimbursable up to $2,400 per calendar year.
