description

Dominion Energy operates in 20 states, from Connecticut to Georgia to California, offering clean, safe, reliable, and affordable energy to more than 7 million customers. Headquartered in Richmond, VA, we invest in the communities where we live and work, and protect our natural resources. Our company’s vision is to build a clean and sustainable energy future. We have a long history of supporting our military and veterans. Throughout our lengthy history of service to our communities, Dominion Energy has made support for the military, veterans and their families a priority. Beginning in World War I, when our employees sent soldiers care packages, and continuing until today, we have focused on those who serve our country.

Recognized perennially as a Best for Vets company, our Military Program’s objective is to strengthen our network within the communities we serve and to support military service men and women, while developing our talent pipeline and continuing to strengthen our workforce. The program’s key focus areas include recruiting and hiring top military talent; providing transition services and resources; offering training and resources for employees and leaders; participating in community improvement and charitable giving; and connecting servicemen and women to federal services.

military culture

Dominion Energy has made it a priority to recruit, retain and support military veterans. We have developed a robust strategy for doing so that includes ensuring our HR professionals, hiring leaders and front-line supervisors are educated about the best practices for leveraging veteran talent and cultivating an engaging environment aligned with the company’s values and goals. We partner with organizations like SHRM, LinkedIn Learning, Military.com, and the State Departments of Veterans Services to help with delivering training content to our employees and leaders. Our Military Program team uses lunch & learn and recorded sessions, webinars and virtual meetings, and learning management system (LMS) modules along with guest speakers to help deliver content.
