We have included military spouses in all other outreach to military service members. We are currently in the process of implementing a formal military spouse recruitment initiative. Up to this point, our activities around other military service members recruitment have included and invited military spouses in the audience. Multiple employment transition workshops have been marketed to both service members and their spouses. These efforts have been recognized by Hire Heroes USA and the Diamond-level partnership award.

When veterans join Sanford, we recognize them with appreciation tokens such as a lanyard, special badge and a window cling. We have a special recognition for current and former service members during Veteran's day/week. We select one veteran each year as our Veteran Employee of the Year.
We provide scholarships for veterans to assist with returning to school. We have a Veteran's Employee Resource Group.
